PRODUCTS: Flying Dodo is not a typical brewery. We are alchemist looking for the elixir of life... We have a full flavour blonde, smooth semi-sweet amber, a belgian-style wit and an experimental IPA whose hops always change. In addition, we invent a new beer every month. From its raw materials to its recipe and style... Our beers are all unpasteurized, as natural as the best things in life. We produce beer liqueurs, beer bonbons and beer soap as well. Take-away service with 1L re-fillable bottles and 5L one-way party kegs. Also available are 30L mobile stations.

OUR PLACE: A Brewery in the middle of a restaurant on the ground floor. A conference room with an additional seating room on the first floor. A beer spa & specialty imported beers shop in the basement. A souvenir shop. Open 7/7 from 9am to midnight. Free brewery visit

PROJECTS: With time we gained experience in creating concepts, sourcing raw materials and access to knowledgeable staff ready for expatriation. Solid partnerships with manufacturers make it possible for us to propose a custom made solution. We help entrepreneurs to come up with a concept, we supply the brewery and brewer. Our goal is to stir a craft beer revolution in Africa.

LAMBIC: We have a second restaurant in Port Louis: Lambic Restaurant & Beer Shop. 4, St Georges Street, Port Louis. Tel:+(230) 212 6011 - www.lambic.mu, A renovated colonial house, right in the heart of the capital city. Imports of special beers from around the world and a special cuisine mixing local produce with specialty beers. Check us on Tripadvisor - Lambic is the only entry for the whole African continent on: Good Beer Guide

OUR BEERS: Our beers are intended to be the focus of attention, and not a product you drink while doing something else. They have character, wit, and have a lot to say. Talk to them and they will reveal their stories.
Category: Local craft beer
Flying Dodo BLONDE 5%alc, 32IBU, 11.5°Plato American-style blond Pale Ale. Brewed with 3 different hops: Polaris (Germany), Sladek (Rep. Czech) & Galaxy (Australia). Look for the icy mint note from the Polaris hops and the floral bouquet from the Galaxy. This hoppy flavour is obtained using a technique called "dry-hopping". We filled a pair of woman's tights, new of course :-) with hops, attached it, and let it swim in the maturation tank for 3 weeks. The hops slowly integrate the beer releasing its full flavour. Food pairing is ideal with pizza and chicken dishes, or like what you would normally pair white wine with.
Flying Dodo NATION’ALE 5.9% alc, 17 IBU, 14° Plato Top fermented with Belgian Abbey malt, Pilsner & Carabelge malts and some herbs added like a proper druid! Our definition of smoothness... Semi-sweet finish, light malty roundness in the mouth, and if the yeast did its magic like it's supposed to, a sensation of smoothness on the tongue. Food pairing is similar as for a light red wine. Red meat.
Flying Dodo EXPERIMENT’ALE IPA Every month we brew a new batch of lndia Pale Ale. We change hops and the way we dry hop. Bottom line is a hoppy beer for craft beer lovers. In general an IPA is strong, has a lot of hops flavour (usual floral notes), and is bitter. Often, very bitter.
Flying Dodo OLD STYLE BELGIAN WIT 5%alc, 18 IBU, 12° Plato A traditional Belgian Wit beer (Wit being the Flemish word for white and denotes a beer made with wheat). It is brewed with orange peel, coriander and of course, our touch, with Perle (Germany), Saphyr (Germany) and Cascade (USA) hops. It is perfect for summer and goes well with sea food
Every month, we brew a new beer we never did before. We either try our version of a popular beer style, or we invent our own from the choice of raw material to the recipe. When the batch is finished, we brew something totally new. That's how it has been since our opening in July 2012...
